The main subject of the order is the development and delivery of innovative M3 emission-free vehicles (according to the classification of Annex 2 to the Act of 20.6.1997 Road Traffic Law (Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1990, as amended) , not available on the market, equipped with battery modules or battery modules with hydrogen range extender, the order provides for side benefits, which are necessary for the full process of research and development of the target vehicles.

The subject of the contract is the development and delivery of innovative vehicles of emission-free public transport in category M3, which are not equipped with an internal combustion engine, are new and meet the requirements for road traffic authorization and have at least two innovations: (A) standardized battery modules and ( B) contact enabling the vehicle to be controlled in all functionalities available from the driver's cab. Demand for innovation (A) results from enabling co-ordinators to choose the number and type of batteries depending on the needs of a given city. Demand for innovation (B) results from the need to automate transport and make the first step in this direction, which consists in developing an interface to control the vehicle for autonomous driving algorithms.
