The purpose of the website redesign is to clarify the National Gallery's online presence and to integrate separate sites into a more cohesive whole.
Website redesign aims to combine two separate websites; nationalgallery.com and collections.fng.fi. In the future, the contents of both sites can be found at nationalgallery.fi. The central element of the new website is the National Gallery collection and its presentation. In line with the National Gallery strategy, the purpose of the reform is to improve the digital accessibility of the collection both domestically and internationally. The collection will be presented online in an easy and engaging format.
Website implementation includes:
- visual and technical design of the user interface and layout of the online service,
- definition and design tasks required to implement the online service,
- the technical implementation of the online service and the software products used,
- implementation of integration allowing the transfer of data from the collection management system to the website, and other integrations,
- testing, training and other support services,
- project management.
