This Assignment aims at the total realization of a building complex with a mixed program of retail and university college at a central location in Antwerp, namely at Meir 127 (the former Proximus site). It is an occasional joint assignment, issued by a public partner (Karel de Grote Hogeschool) on the one hand and a private partner, the project developer NV Meir Corner, on the other. These two partners wish to realize various project components in the building, namely a University of Applied Sciences section, a Retail section and a Common Part. The Assignment is part of a broader project for the total realization of this mixed project, which takes place in different phases and is divided into different parts (called plots). This Assignment concerns the execution of the most important part (Lot 3), namely the actual global contracting for general construction work of the various project components (new construction and renovation), including the site installation, all technical installations and the environmental construction, the site organization and coordination of a number of other parts (carried out by ancillary contractors: the Contractor is responsible for the pilot acceptance) and the BIM coordination. The Assignment also includes the renovation and repurposing of three inventory buildings.
