Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a supplier of surgical instrument decontamination/sterilisation services for the sterilisation of surgical instruments used within its surgical services at Kingston Hospital.
The Trust are seeking a long-term off-site solution that provides sterile services from the Service Provider's facilities.
The service provider is expected to provide a fully compliant service that meets all relevant standards and follows best practice guidance, and is expected to include:
— A logistics service for the collection and delivery of instrument trays and supplementaries,
— A turnaround time to meet operational demands, including a fast track service for urgent turnaround requirements,
— A track and trace system that allows the tracking of all instrument trays, supplementaries, and high risk surgical instruments (NICE IPG 196 guidance)
— A smooth transition from existing facilities to the service provider's facilities
The Service provider may also include a number of associated services, such as instrument loans/purchase, etching/laser marking/RFID tracking, internal logistics and other relevant associated services.
