The municipality of Waldbrunn is planning the renovation and conversion of the existing historic buildings on the square of the New Town Centre Waldbrunn, which represents the outdoor area of the former district court of the Oberzell Monastery in Waldbrunn on the plots with the FlNr. 1815 and 1816/1. With the conversion into a multi-generational house including a library, the municipality of Waldbrunn wants to reactivate the monastery courtyard as a new central town centre.

The building currently consists of a listed residential building and an attached listed barn.

The newly planned building is intended to serve as a multi-generational house for the municipality of Waldbrunn and includes a catering area on the ground floor in addition to the premises for "WABE". On the newly created upper floor, rooms for childcare and a library will be arranged.

In addition to the historic barn, a new building will be added, which will house a multipurpose room for events and a small meeting room.

In addition, the number of parking spaces required by the proof of parking space to be complied with must be newly built.

The cost estimate currently envisages construction costs (excluding agency costs) of approx. EUR 9,391,749.61 gross (indexed for the November 2022 reporting period) for cost groups 200 to 700.

The approval planning has already been completed. A corresponding building application has already been submitted by the municipality of Waldbrunn.
