DMF wants to procure consultancy assistance for project management in the form of a permanent resource (project manager), who will be responsible for preparation of a comprehensive plan for pollution reduction measures in Folldal.

On behalf of NFD, DMF manages 15 reclaimed mines, including properties and mining rooms at Folldal mines. The remnants of the mining operation pollute the area and Folla river at the bottom of the valley. The land owner, NFD received an order from the environmental authorities to carry out measures with the purpose of reducing pollution. DMF has been delegated the assignment of fulfilling the order. Multiple studies have been carried out for possible solutions, and DMF has gathered a broad knowledge base that is now ready to be included in a comprehensive plan. The comprehensive plan will consist of multiple phases.
