The subject of the procurement is the purchase of all-flash storage systems and SAN network components (switches). The storage systems are to be used both as a replacement for existing systems and for expansion due to new requirements. In addition, there is software for administration (rental) and service (maintenance, servicing, care, support). In addition, technician services and support services are to be provided on call via a service contingent.
With this procurement, all-flash storage systems in 19" technology will be procured. The storage systems are to be used both as a replacement for existing systems and for the implementation of new requirements. The demand for storage systems and SAN network components currently amounts to approx. 62
Storage systems and 42 Fibre Channel (FC) switches to be deployed for life-cycle activities and projects over the next 5 years.
Optional components to be procured are also part of the tender.
New original manufacturer goods are required for all deliveries.
For the systems, installation and commissioning and removal and disposal are to be carried out by the contractor.
In addition, there is a service contingent for technician assignments
on demand. Software as well as its maintenance and support for creating snapshots, remote replication, etc. is also the subject of procurement.
In addition, there is a system service for the maintenance, servicing, care and support of the hardware and firmware. System service is called for storage systems and for SAN network components (switches) for 60 months and also includes future components that will be added there during the service life. The system service can be extended by 1 year.
The scope of the components to be tendered takes into account an annual data growth of 15 - 20% in each case. All stated call-off quantities are indicative values that have been extrapolated by planned runtimes of existing systems and historical capacity developments.
There is no purchase obligation on the part of the BA. The maximum value for this
Procurement amounts to € 48,000,000.00 gross. This value represents the upper limit under public procurement law for the use of the framework agreement and has no connection with the estimated quantities used by the OAG or the budget funds provided by the OAG. There is no disproportionate burden on the bidder by setting a maximum value or quantity.
The contract period begins with the award of the contract and ends after 11 years at the latest. The call-off of new systems with a service life of 5 years takes place within the first 5 years of the contract. Subsequently, only additional optional components, service contingent, services from the service concept and removal & disposal are used. For each system, system service can be called up for a 6th year service life in accordance with the service concept. This results in a contract period of 11 years. Performances
which are called up within the term of the contract, must also be provided beyond the end of the contract.
