National road 36 is one of the most important national roads in Telemark. The lot from Slåttekås tunnel to Årnes needs to be improved as regards increased wearing ability, as well as improvements to traffic safety.

The lot includes 7 150 m new complete road with a width of 8.5 m, of which approx. 200 m is a tunnel, as well as a new footpath along the entire stretch. Furthermore adjoining exits, bus lay-bys etc. shall be developed and adapted. The road shall be redeveloped with a superstructure of 1.8 m along the entire length of the lot. Temporary traffic management for existing traffic shall be carried out in a good way during the site period. The assignment is for engineering design services and construction (turnkey contract).

The construction plan will be carried out as model based engineering design services.
