FD [the Ministry of Defence], henceforth referred to as 'FD 'or the ‘contracting authority’, invites tenderers to a tender contest regarding translation from Norwegian to English of claims for indemnification to be sent to the UN on behalf of UN veterans.

Seksjon for felles juridiske tjenester [the Division for Joint Legal services] is the user of the agreement. The Division ensures the joint legal services for FD and the Norwegian Defence Staff for the administration area and is the point of contact for the Attorney General in legal proceedings. The Division is a part of FD's department for personnel policy, competence, integrity and joint legal services.

The purpose of the contract is to cover the need for translation of documentation from Norwegian to English, in connection with FD assisting persons who have been injured during service in a UN operation to submit claims for compensation to the UN. FD assists the veterans in collecting the necessary documentation in the case, such as medical certificates and decisions from the Norwegian authorities.
