Description:
Südtondern Barracks, Stadum – Extension of the motor vehicle halls - Buildings and interiors

Planning services according to HOAI 2021 Part 3 Property Planning, Section 1 Buildings and Interiors, § 34 Work Phases 4 to 9

The site for the new building is located in the Südtondern barracks, Am Tannenberg 1, 25917 Stadum, North Frisia district, Schleswig-Holstein.

The property to be built on is owned by the Federal Republic of Germany. It is located in the northern area of the property in the immediate vicinity of the guardhouse.

These are ground-floor, enclosed halls for the accommodation of commercial vehicles (such as tractors, mowers and trailers) as well as large military vehicles. The car halls are built as a steel skeleton construction. For design reasons, the roofs of the northern halls have an inclination of 8°, while the roof of the eastern hall is oriented towards the neighbouring motor vehicle hall with a roof pitch of 5°. The roofs are covered with trapezoidal sheet metal. The construction grid is 7 x 14 meters. The clear height is 4.50 m. The entrances are closed with sectional doors, some of which are equipped with wicket doors. Impact protection is provided to protect the gates. The outer walls are clad with a trapezoidal sheet metal.

For natural lighting and ventilation of Halls 4 and 36, a window strip is planned in the rear area. Hall 3 as a double block receives daylight via a light strip in the ridge. The hall is ventilated by (partial) opening of sectional doors opposite. The car halls must be planned frost-free. This makes it a company building with a target room temperature below 12°C and does not fall within the scope of the GEG (see §2 – Scope of application).

The fire protection requirements basically correspond to the requirements of the state building code.

The location for the halls is not designated as a suspected contamination area (KVF), no impairments are to be expected here.
