Gardening and cleaning of public green spaces.

The purpose of this contract is the provision of a comprehensive maintenance service - gardening and cleaning - of the green spaces, parks and public gardens of the municipality, flower boxes and trees with monumental ancestry, in accordance with the specifications and scope set out in the specifications and scope set out in the specification of requirements techniques.

The contract is reserved for special employment centers on social initiative.

The performance of the services subject to lot 2 includes the following actions:

- Manual watering

- Weed plucking from containers and pits

- Clearance of the Pertegàs grove and the perimeter of the containers

- Training pruning

- Maintenance of guardians and protective nets

- Replacement of dead specimens planted in the ground by others in containers

- Phytosanitary treatments when necessary.

The most relevant tasks are those described below:

- Weed removal and window box cleaning

- Trimming and pruning:

It will be executed in agreement with the City Council, according to each species, place and circumstance.

Pruning depends on the characteristics of the plant. The time and the specific form are determined by the technical services of the City Council.

Faded flowers will be pruned whenever necessary.

The seasonal plant is pruned before it bears fruit, once it has completed its first flowering cycle.

After pruning, the plant remains must be removed and taken to the waste management centre.

- Irrigation:

It will be necessary to make a constant supply of water for the proper development of the vegetables. In this regard, the entire surface must be watered evenly without any dry area left.

- Fertilization: It must be fertilized at least twice a year, in March-April with a mineral fertilizer and in September-October, with a slow release fertilizer. The dose of these pickles will be about 30 gr./m2

- Phytosanitary treatments and controls: The necessary phytosanitary treatments will be carried out to maintain the plantings of the planters in perfect condition.

The company will have to draw up the advisory documents and work plans for the treatments in accordance with current legislation.

The company will take care of the signage of the treatment area, if necessary.

The management of waste and packaging of plant protection products generated by the activity of the treatments carried out will be the responsibility of the company and will be carried out in accordance with current regulations.

- Replacements: The planters will have to look nice with a healthy plant and without gaps. The plantations will be bushy, most of them with a combination of shrubby and lively plant.

An annual replacement of 50% of the existing plant in street-level planters and flower beds is estimated, and the total replenishment twice a year (March and October, for example) of plants in lamppost boxes and balconies is estimated.
