Teams of local clinicians and patients are working together to create detailed plans for providing health and social care services in West Hertfordshire now and in the future. This work is part of a major review of services which is being led by the 6 largest health and social care organisations in West Hertfordshire. This review is called ‘Your Care, Your Future’. The review has examined existing health and social care services to determine what needs to be done to improve local services. The Trust is currently developing its Estates strategy to align with ‘Your Care Your Future’. As a consequence, the Trust intends to extend its existing contracts for 3 temporary Surge Units on its estate which currently provide vital ward space and services.
