This assignment concerns the hiring of a Deputy Director EDIS for 32 to 36 hours per week. The Deputy Director is responsible for the Erasmus Digitalisation & Information Services (EDIS) service. EDIS is the enterprising and valued partner for the EUR, providing reliable, 24/7 information services and communication technology and, together with internal and external partners, ensures continuous innovation/improvement of services with the shortest possible time-to-market and within the budgetary framework. As Deputy Director, you will be responsible for the overall support of the CIO/Director of IT. In total, you will manage approximately six IT Managers (department heads) who are responsible for the underlying teams.
As Deputy Director, you will be responsible for the overall support of the CIO/Director of IT. In total, you will manage approximately six IT Managers who are responsible for the underlying teams. You are primarily responsible for the IT operation in the broadest sense of the word and get energy from it to let your team work together effectively in the field of the integral delivery of the IT services. You are also someone who knows how to establish cooperation with the policy makers in order to align policy and implementation. You oversee, organize and monitor the coherence and planning of the various policy initiatives and forge them into a logical whole that fits within the I-strategy of EDIS.
On behalf of your team, consisting of six IT Managers and approximately 110 employees (FTEs) spread over the six departments, you then present this to the director. You also manage the changes and the connection with the education and research processes of EUR. You manage the further development of both the team and the professional growth of the individual employees. You are part of the four-person Management Team (MT) and contribute to broad policy development and implementation.
