Description:

The contracting authority would like tenders for a system that will be used for the design and synthesis of advanced nano materials and nano composites for a broad spectrum of nano technology programmes.

The system consists of two consecutive vacuum chambers. The first chamber is an aggregating zone where 3 sputtering targets can be simultaneous or separate DC sputtering in an Ar-atmosphere. The three magnetrons shall be independently inspected. Within this aggregate zone, a cluster core forms in an inert gas atmosphere at a relatively high pressure, followed by the growth of larger nano particles by coalescence. The procedure for sputtering can be carried out at relatively high pressure (~ 10-1 mbar). In this chamber multi-component nano particles can be produced and set aside as free-standing nano particles or as porous films.

The length of the chamber shall be regulated and the outlet point from the chamber ought to have different diameters. The other chamber consists of an ultra-high vacuum chamber in which the accumulation of the thin film of PLD technology is carried out. The PLD dimension area shall have 5 rotating dimensions with an option for in-situ dimension selection. The nano particles are pulled out and accelerated by the pressure difference between the aggregation zone and the accumulation chamber through a regulated opening.

The design/geometry of the chambers shall allow simultaneous accumulation of thin film and nano particles or a post-landing of nano particles on the surface of the PLD-FILM under controlled conditions. The equipment shall incorporate the software for full control of the system, with the option to operate in manual modus if necessary.

The system shall include a laser and the accompanying accessories, all ready for use. The supplier shall be responsible for all the system parts and shall be able to react quickly and provide technical support for all parts of the system.

Fur further delivery/system requirements, please see the Contracting Authority's requirement specification in Annex 1 (attached).
