In the Stuttgart Rosenstein area - sub-area C1 Maker City - the development of a new urban quarter is planned between the carriage halls, the Prague cemetery and the railway tracks in the direction of Nordbahnhofstraße. The urban development concept envisages a high-density building structure, which makes the open space all the more important, which provides compensation by means of strong greening.

The subject of the award procedure is the planning of the open spaces. The measure covers an area of approx. 8.6 hectares and includes the development of cross-area concepts, the planning of sub-projects and the elaboration of recommendations for the design of private areas. The sub-areas are playgrounds, recreation areas in public green spaces, outdoor areas of public buildings. Other parameters include climate adaptation strategies, diversity through multicoded areas, and biodiversity.
