The object of the acquisition is a personal office pistol with spare parts. The acquisition includes the service of pistols as an option, as well as simulation weapons and/or conversion kits.
The acquisition is divided into subdivisions as follows:
Subdivision 1 Basic action pistol
Subdivision 2 Concealed pistol
Subdivision 3 Special Groups Pistol
The bidder may submit an offer for one or more aspects of the acquisition. On the basis of competition, one supplier and one deputy supplier will be selected on a sub-regional basis. The procurement contract will be entered into indefinite validity.
Each contracting entity involved in the acquisition enters into its own contracts with the supplier selected/selected bidders according to their needs. The Police Government Agreement covers, in addition to the Police Government and its departments, Åland Police Authority, Helsinki Police Department, Häme Police Department, Eastern Finland Police Department, Eastern Finland Police Department, South Eastern Uusimaa Police Department, South Eastern Finland Police Department, Lapland Police Department, Southwest Finland Police Department, Western Uusimaa Police Department, Oulu Police Department, Oulu Police Department, Ostrobothnia Police Department, Inner Finland Police Department, Policing UAS and Central Criminal Police.
BASIC OPERATION OF THE PISTOLThe basic operating pistol's user base includes people of different sizes in various basic administrative functions, such as surveillance and alarm and crime prevention. The weapon should be safe and easy to use, regardless of whether the user is right-handed or left-handed. The weapon shall operate in accordance with the requirements in all conditions to which an individual office holder may be subject, regardless of the weather and time of day. The requirements for the basic operation pistol are set out in Annex 1 to the call for tender.
The estimated procurement volume is approximately 1170 pistols annually. Annual quantity may vary with emphasis on the first years of acquisition. The amount includes the amount of contracts that are assessed by all involved contracting entities. See “Acquisition Criteria” for a more detailed breakdown of quantities by contracting entity.
CONCEALABLE PISTOLIn this pistol, in addition to safety and ease of use, the concealability and concealability of the weapon while carrying it is important. The weapon is used mainly by investigative personnel, as well as by people in administrative positions who are licensed to carry a weapon. The requirements for the concealable pistol are set out in Annex 2 to the request for tender.

SPECIAL ACTION PISTOLThe Special Action Pistol has the authority's special forces and teams. The characteristics of the pistol are particularly emphasized by the sure-action and accuracy of the weapon. A weapon requires versatility. The requirements for the special action pistol are set out in Annex 3 to the call for tender.
