The present tender concerns the Danish Environmental Protection Agency's acquisition of consultancy services in connection with the implementation of extended producer responsibility (EPR) on packaging, whereby importers are either made operationally or financially responsible for their packaging when this becomes waste. Specifically, the acquisition includes that the Supplier must prepare a report describing distribution keys for the share of packaging/non-packaging for specific waste fractions in household and commercial waste, respectively.
In connection with the implementation of extended producer responsibility (EPR) on packaging, producers and importers are made either operationally or financially responsible for their packaging when it becomes waste - including the collection of waste and its treatment.
In connection with the implementation of extended producer responsibility on packaging, a number of distribution keys for the share of packaging in household and commercial waste will be prepared, which will be written into the upcoming legislative executive order laying down the guidelines for extended producer responsibility.
The distribution keys must determine the average proportion of packaging in the waste that will form the basis for compensation between municipalities and collective schemes (household waste), as well as from collective schemes to private waste collectors (commercial waste).
