The appointment of a designer for the construction of a full-fledged cycling and walking path along the recreational cycling route network in Boslaan, Eikenlaan and Blinckaertlaan.

The aim of the redesign is to strengthen the recreational bicycle route network and to increase the safety of weak road users. We also want a safe and pleasant construction for walkers. By constructing cycle paths, we also want to narrow the road so that the speed is slowed down. In addition, the intention is to create safe crossings for the amphibians and squirrels. The roadway itself is in principle not renewed. Given the presence of a valuable nature reserve, close feedback with all ANB services involved is necessary.

The redesign concerns both the construction of the superstructure and a renewal of the sewage system under the bicycle path. The redesign will be phased.

The study assignment is regarded as a total assignment related to the redesign of the public domain. The assignment also includes the layout of a lighting concept and its implementation. The lighting concept is drawn up in close consultation with Fluvius. The impact of the lighting on the nature reserve, the forest and the animal species present are certainly also part of the research.

The investment cost is currently estimated at EUR 2 000 000, excluding VAT. This budget aims for a sustainable redesign, with maximum quality objectives being achieved. In other words, the budget must achieve a maximum result.
