At the end of 2020, the Zurich Cantonal Council adopted the counter-proposal to the Nature Initiative. The bill has been put into force on 1 October 2021. In the coming years, it includes a strong growth in financial resources for nature conservation in order to accelerate the implementation of the Overall Concept for Nature Conservation (NSGK). This is also associated with an expansion of human resources.
The mandate in the framework agreement pursues the following objectives in individual contracts:
Methodical, organizational and partly content-related support of the department management in the upcoming transformation processes in order to implement the KR template for the nature initiative and to align the work and organization of the specialist office to the future requirements.
