The PWG Foundation was able to acquire a fully leased commercial property from the Swiss Radio and Television Company (SRG SSR) in the Leutschenbach district in 2021 and intends to convert it into living space for around 200 people. Among other things, there will be commercial space on the ground floor that will serve the district. Until the renovation, the previous owner, as the current user, leases the entire building. The building from 1962 has a very good structure and has been excellently maintained, which makes conversion easier.
The PWG Foundation is looking for a general planning team through an anonymous, one-stage project competition using a selective process, as well as an optimal project for low-cost apartments and commercial premises in terms of benefits, economy and ecology. 12 to 18 teams will be admitted to the project competition, which is expected to last from June to September 2022.
