Construction of its own hydrogen filling station at St. Töniser Straße 270 in Krefeld.
As a mobility service provider in Krefeld and the surrounding area, SWK Mobil GmbH ensures the mobility of 36.5 million passengers per year. With 20 bus lines, 6 night bus lines, 4 tram lines and on-demand services such as car sharing, e-scooters, or my SWCAR, SWK MOBIL offers flexible and climate-friendly mobility in the region.
SWK MOBIL is continuously expanding the quality of local transport and is thus designing an increasingly attractive, efficient and environmentally friendly local transport system. In addition to the development of further on-demand offerings, electromobility is also a key factor. SWK MOBIL relies on both the battery and the fuel cell as an alternative drive technology.
SWK MOBIL is therefore planning to procure fuel cell buses ('BZ buses'). The procurement of the first three BZ solo buses is planned for mid-2024. In Q1 of 2025, a further 7 FC solo buses are to be added. In the years 2026 and 2027, 4 more BZ articulated buses are to be procured. Finally, 2 BZ articulated buses are planned for 2028.
In order to supply the FC buses with hydrogen, SWK MOBIL plans to set up its own hydrogen filling station at St. Töniser Straße 270 in Krefeld ('H2-TS'). The filling station must be designed for the refuelling of 20 FC buses and be modularly expandable to the refuelling of 90 FC buses.
