This Expression of Interest (EOI) has been issued by the Authority, Scotland Gas Networks PLC (SGN), in connection with a competitive procurement event conducted in accordance with the Negotiated Procedure under the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2006 (as Amended).
This EOI sets out the information which is required by the Authority in order to assess the suitability of potential Applicants in terms of their suitability, competence, experience and capability to meet the requirement.
SGN working in partnership with Mutual Energy Ltd, the High Pressure (HP) transportation licence holder for the G2W, are planning to construct a 77 km HP pipeline, 130 km of Intermediate Pressure (IP) network with associated pressure management stations (PRS) over the next 3-4 years, supplying natural gas to the city gates of Strabane, Dungannon, Cookstown, Magherafelt, Omagh, Enniskillen and Derrylin.
Initially, SGN are to construct a Pressure Reduction Station (PRS) on a green field site at Maydown, Londonderry, Northern Ireland commencing Q1 2016. The site inlet pressure will be rated for 85 bar and the outlet pressure will be 7 bar feeding the IP pipeline currently under construction to Strabane. All works will be in accordance with Gas Industry, Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (IGEM) standards, SGN and Transco specifications.
