A new control station is established in Bergen nord. The control station shall carry out inspections of heavy vehicles. In order to automatically be able to pick vehicles for inspections, a system for automatic selections shall be established. 3 control areas shall therefore be established along the existing road.

The control areas are:

1. South of the Glasskart tunnel (E39 from Bergen), northbound;

2. North of the Eikås tunnel (E39 from Nordhordland), southbound;

3. East of Vågsbotn (E16 from Arna), westbound.

The contract includes installation of variable signs, sensors in roadway, channels and cables. The routing of fibre and power cables in existing and new conduits. New cable channels along the road shall also be established. The cables shall be routed up to the location of signs/cameras.
