A single local unit of interlacing services will be formed in South Ostrobothnia in early 2022, managed by the City of Kurika. The future local unit will be renamed South Ostrobothnia Interlating Services/Kurika Town. Since 1 January 2022, Kurika city interlacing services cover the towns of Alajärvi, Alavude, Kristiinantown, Kauhajoki, Kauhava, Kurika, Lapua, Seinäjoki and Ähtäri, as well as the municipalities of Evijärvi, Ilmajoki, Isojoki, Isonkyrö, Karijoki, Kärtane, Lapajärvi, Lapajärvi, Soini, Teuva and Vimpel. The future unit will employ c. 300 staff as permanent agricultural interlopers who will handle the vast majority of the interlacing need. In addition to this, there are also periodic interlopers. The need for purchasing services stems from sudden interlacing requests from agriculturists, as well as absences from interlopers of interlacing services. In addition, as purchasing services, interlacing services can also be acquired for normal annual leave or surrogate interlopers alongside monthly wage interlopers. If necessary, the purchase service is also used for subsidized paid interlacing. The Agricultural Interlacing Services Act (1231/1996) shall be complied with when the service is performed.
Services are acquired for domestic stocking facilities in various production directions. The main production direction in the area is dairy cattle and pigs. In addition to these, there are meat ranches, horse stables, lampolas as well as poultry farms.
The acquisition is divided into eight (8) different sub-entities in accordance with the production sectors and twenty (20) regions in accordance with the municipalities/cities of the local unit. The offer may apply to all sectors of production or to one or more parts. The offer may apply to each local/city area of a local unit or to one or more areas.
