Procurement of 7 long-wheelbase prisoner transport vehicles (GTW)

The contract to supply prisons with basic prisoner transport vehicles will be put out to tender in an EU-wide, open procedure.

The content of the award is the supply of a total of 7 motor vehicles for the transport of up to five prisoners (basic GTW) to 7 correctional facilities (prisons Bochum, Cologne, Attendorn, Schwerte, Bielefeld-Senne, Kleve and prison hospital NRW Fröndenberg) in North Rhine-Westphalia. The order includes the base vehicle. The vehicles to be procured to the specified extent are to be commercially available combination motor vehicles with seven to eight seats from ongoing production (no stock vehicles), which are to be converted into prisoner transport vehicles (GTW) after delivery to the judiciary's own companies - by means of additional installations (lattice and partition wall with sliding door).
