Northamptonshire Police are seeking to award a Traditional Designed project using the JCT Standard Building Contract With Quantities 2011 edition with Amendments for the building of Northern Accommodation Hub consisting of the Kettering Police Investigation Centre and Northern Accommodation Building located at Cherry Hall Lane, Kettering Business Park, Kettering. The Contract will contain elements of Contractors Design.

The proposed development will consist of:

— A single storey building with a floor area of 1 549 m². The Custody Centre comprises of 20 cells with expansion space for a further 10 cells. The remainder of the ground floor comprises of associated support offices. The Custody Centre will have to comply with Home Office guidelines;

— A 3 storey office building with a floor area of 2 763 m², comprising of open plan office accommodation, break-out space/informal meeting areas, gymnasium and welfare/catering facilities;

— Both developments will have the associated plant rooms and parking.

Northampton Police have appointed Pick Everard as their Project Managers, Cost Consultant and Designers.

The approximate cost of the proposed development is 13 800 000 GBP.
