This announcement concerns the development of national maths tests. National tests have been carried out annually since 2004 on approx. 180,000 pupils. Tests in reading and maths are taken in 5th, 8th and 9th years and tests in English are taken in 5th and 8th years.

 This announcement concerns the development of national maths tests. National tests have been carried out annually since 2004 on approx. 180,000 pupils. Tests in reading and maths are taken in 5th, 8th and 9th years and tests in English are taken in 5th and 8th years.

National tests are developed annually. The development of the tests for 2024 has begun, and main testing will be carried out in autumn 2023. This means that the new tenderer must familiarise themselves with the status of the 2024 tests and finalise these at the same time as the new tenderer starts work on the 2025 tests. The Norwegian Directorate of Education and Training will develop an overlap plan together with the current tenderer and the new tenderer.
