The profile school (former secondary school with currently around 300 students) forms the school center with the cafeteria, the sports hall and the sports facilities. It was built between 1963 and 1971, expanded several times and used by a secondary school for a long time. With the end of the secondary school on July 31, 2016, the new type of school (profile school) uses the former buildings. In order to concentrate the profile school location in Ascheberg, the former secondary school in Herben will be given up (currently with a total of approx. 200 students). For this purpose, the existing buildings have to be expanded, rebuilt and refurbished and a new building constructed. For this purpose, a concept for the structural expansion of the school building by at least approx - Object planning procedure “developed.

The missing area is made up of classrooms, specialist classes, all-day and administration. For the planning at the location, the functional requirements as well as the space allocation plan and the ideas of the pupils, teachers and parents apply.

The subject of the contract to be awarded is the specialist planning services for the structural design for the renovation of 2 and the new construction of a school building for the profile school in Ascheberg. Initially, service phases 1 and 4 are to be commissioned. For the further service phases, step-by-step commissioning is planned (see Section II.2.11).
