UniBW M intends to procure a winding system that the contractor must deliver and install no later than 10 months after the order has been placed. The winding system is used to produce rotationally symmetrical components made of fiber composite materials. The application area focuses on laboratory operation (research and development) and prototype construction. As part of research and development at UniBW M
the system must cover a wide range of applications and guarantee the processing of dry, wet and, above all, pre-impregnated fiber rovings of the highest quality.
The operation and maintenance of the plant should be kept as simple as possible, taking into account production quality and occupational safety. The control should be intuitive and make it possible to track the manufacturing process/parameters within the framework of quality assurance.
The winding machine is used to manufacture high-quality, rotationally symmetrical components made of fiber composites. The scope of application focuses on laboratory operation (research and development) and prototype construction. Series production with large quantities is not planned. It follows that the winding machine must be highly flexible in use.
A wide range of applications and the processing of dry, wet and above all pre-impregnated fiber rovings (towpregs) of high quality must be ensured.
The following examples of possible components have to be taken into account when designing the system:
- Type IV and V pressure tanks for a wide range of media with a winding length of up to 3 m and a diameter of up to 1.2 m in the aerospace, automotive, marine, mechanical and plant engineering applications
- Cardan and drive shafts with a winding length of up to 3 m and a diameter of up to approx. 1.2 m in the aerospace, automotive, marine, mechanical and plant engineering application fields using winding angles in the range of 0 degrees - 90 degrees (using a pin ring)
- Torsion bar springs with a winding length of 3 m in aerospace, automotive, marine, mechanical and plant engineering applications using winding angles in the range of 0 degrees - 90 degrees (using a pin ring)
The operation and maintenance of the plant should be kept as simple as possible, taking into account production quality and occupational safety.
The control should be intuitive and enable traceability of the manufacturing process/parameters (actual values) in the context of quality assurance.
The winding system must be designed for a service life of at least 15 years.
The contractor must deliver and install the winding systems no later than 10 months after the order has been placed.
