The Greenwich Foundation for the Old Royal Naval College now wishes to appoint a main contractor to carry out the Painted Hall HLF Phase 2 programme. The works are to include:
— Conservation of Painted Hall (Paintings conservation by a separately instructed paintings specialist)
— New Inclusive entrance: partitions, ramps, steps, reception area, desk and associated display, lockers, decorations
— Adaptions to King's entrance: washrooms, storage areas, conservation/decoration
— Access ramp improvements (King William colonnade step)
— Draft lobbies/draft doors to Inclusive and King's entrances
— Improvements to Draft lobby in Vestibule (if needed)
— Draft proofing eastern cupola/dome
— Solar shading to Painted Hall windows incl Upper & Lower Halls, and Vestibule incl. tambour
— Joinery: Lower PH perimeter heating ducts, miscellaneous fittings
— New fire doors and screens to Vestibule staircases
— King William Undercroft cafeteria/brasserie installation (non HLF)
— King William kitchen works associated with Ampersand re-fit, eg flooring, drainage, etc. (non HLF)
— Furniture: PH benches
— Donors boards
— King William secure retail design
— Printed vestibule screen
— New heating installation, lighting and audio visual installations, and electrical cabling infrastructure generally
— Builders work in connection (BWIC) with all building services
— Design and manufacture of catering table candelabras and additional torcheres
The construction budget is in the region of 4 000 000 GBP.
