a) Purpose

The contract is for the purchase of transport for patients who, for health reasons, cannot use scheduled public transport and patient transport on routes where there is no such transportation. For this reason, normal, 5-seater vehicles or minibus and vehicles specially adapted for wheelchair users must be purchased.

The acquisition will contribute to assisting the contracting authority in meeting its obligations in compliance with The Patients and Users Rights Act § 2-6, "Right to medical transport"

b) Scope / assignment

The Contractor shall meet all requirements for the following patient transport:

— Transport within the offered municipality in Møre og Romsdal,

— Transport outside of the offered municipality in Møre og Romsdal.

Deliverables related to this tender includes the following municipalities:

Aukra, Aure, Averøy, Eide, Fræna, Gjemnes, Halsa, Haram, Hareid, Herøy, Kristiansund, Midsund, Molde, Nesset, Norddal, Rauma, Rindal, Sande, Sandøy, Skodje, Smøla, Stranda, Sunndal, Surnadal, Sykkylven, Tingvoll, Ulstein, Vanylven, Vestnes, Volda and Ørsta.

Predefined areas:

Area 1: Ålesund, Sula and Giske municipalities.

Area 2: Stordal and Ørskog municipalities.
