This procurement seeks to establish a contract for capacity services at 100 Gbps between Paris and New York. It is being conducted under the 2006 Regulations in the form of an Open Procedure and DANTE is seeking solution proposals and pricing for layer 2, unprotected 100Gbps circuits to support research networking between Europe and North America - specifically Paris to New York. There are three lots that Bidders are invited to respond to. All lots relate to the same technical and routeing requirements, however DANTE wish to understand the commercial models that may be available for a circuit of this magnitude and want to consider short term lease pricing (1 or 3 year terms) as well as longer term (15 year) IRU costs.
Note that DANTE reserves the right to award only one lot or no lots at all.
Whilst DANTE is seeking an unprotected link, information regarding network routeing and topology is vital if we are to construct resilient partner links for GÉANT. Information will be sought in respect of the circuit that DANTE may contract for particularly the routeing (and PoPs that circuits traverse) will be required as part of Bidder responses and this may include diversity in respect of the following aspects:
a) Cable System,
b) Landing stations,
c) Terrestrial fibre connecting the landing stations to the end points.
