The assignment involves the delivery and installation of furnishing elements at various locations in Limburg, situated in the Landscape Park 'De Wijers', more specifically on the territory of the municipalities of Diepenbeek, Hasselt, Genk, Heusden-Zolder, Houthalen-Helchteren, Lummen and Zonhoven.
To promote De Wijers, a specific house style was developed and furnishing elements were developed in the house style of De Wijers.
The furnishing elements that we request are specifically designed in the corporate style of De Wijers.
The look & feel of these furnishing elements and the sizes have been determined. This must be preserved. For the sizes and the look & feel, see the corporate identity manual for furnishing elements.
Regarding the choice of materials, we ask the proposers to make a sustainable proposal, in the sense that the furnishing elements should still look good within ten years, despite the weather conditions. We would like to say that we would like to work with a combination of wood and metal. The wood refers to nature and the metal to the urbanization of the area. The wavy line in the material used indicates the water. Together they reflect the diversity of De Wijers, which finds its identity in this tension between water, nature, agriculture and buildings.

In the next phase of the award procedure, the price for on the one hand without and on the other hand with placement will therefore be requested from the selected candidates, after the selection decision.

This supplied information about the project to be realized is only included to give the candidates an idea of the assignment. In terms of material choice, a proposal for a solution will be requested in the next phase of the award procedure that ensures that the furnishing elements are also resistant to the various weather conditions.
