The European Scientific Conference on Applied Infectious Disease Epidemiology (ESCAIDE) is an annual conference funded and coordinated by ECDC since 2007, with the aims of strengthening the prevention and control of communicable disease through the sharing of knowledge and experiences. The conference is recognised to offer both breadth and depth of content as well as excellent networking opportunities, which are considered highly valuable by participants.
The conference happens during 3 days and usually hosts 500-700 in-person participants, with 2 500-3 000 online participants when the conference was held only online (2020 and 2021) and as a hybrid event (2022).
