This contract, which will take the legal form of a single-contractor framework agreement, covers the supply of dual-mode electric and hydrogen multiple units with a maximum length of 59 m, operated mainly on the lines of the French National Rail Network, as well as all associated services, in particular logistical support and rolling stock guarantees.
The contract concerns the supply of up to 30 self-propelled vehicles and the associated services. These self-propelled cars will be operated mainly on the lines of the French National Rail Network.
Self-propelled vehicles must be able to accommodate a minimum of 120 seated passengers, with a maximum length of 59 m. They will have a basic configuration capable of being operated at the speed limit of 160km/h, available in single-voltage 1.5 kV or dual-voltage versions 25 kV 50Hz AC and 1.5 kV DC, each of which will be complemented by a carbon-free hydrogen mode allowing travel at 140km/h with a range of at least 600km.
The basic configuration will be completed by the exercise of one or more options from the catalogue of options that will be described in the consultation documents. These options include, but are not limited to:
- Ability to modular interior layouts (diagram changes and customization of passenger spaces);
- Integration of an additional toilet module.
The logistical support services will be complemented by the exercise of one or more options from the catalogue of options that will be described in the consultation documents. These options include, but are not limited to:
- A logistics service for the supply and delivery of maintenance parts, potentially to maintenance sites, with service rates,
- An engineering service leading to the implementation of a predictive maintenance solution.
The Contract provides for several follow-on contracts up to a maximum of 30 self-propelled vehicles.
