The purpose of the project is to support the goal of the Government's integration strategy, which states that more immigrants should gain a stable and firm foothold in working life. The project will contribute to establishing a knowledge base that on one side will contribute to increased visibility with employers about diversity as a resource and on the other hand will form the basis for the development of further measures.
In this project, IMDi wants to investigate possible relationships between ethical diversity in businesses and profitability. The project will have a broad approach to understanding of ‘profitability’, both in public and private businesses. Profitability should not be limited to only financial conditions, but also include other factors that can measure whether a business is profitable and/or effective, for e.g. absence due to illness, working environment, turnover, etc. The project will describe what characterizes businesses in which one can possible see the relationship between ethical diversity and profitability. On one hand, the project should discuss what will be important requirements for ethical diversity to contribute to increased profitability in businesses and on the other hand, describe what could possibly hinder this. It can be both internal and external conditions.
