The KJF building in Eggenfelden, built in 1983, houses the Rottal-Inn Curative Education Centre with the facilities of the St. Ruppert School for pupils with intellectual disabilities (lessons and sports use), a curative education day care centre, a school preparatory facility and an integrative kindergarten. The original plan to renovate the existing building was dropped due to an economic assessment. It was decided to build a complete (replacement) new building. The existing building must be completely demolished and then the ground for the new building must be prepared. The connection to the public development will be renewed and adapted to the new circumstances. There is an existing infrastructure, which can be used for the replacement new building.

By way of a step-by-step commissioning, the service phases 4, 5 and 6 of the service profile structural design according to § 51, Anl. 14 HOAI 2021 and, as special services, the evidence of structural fire protection and the control and acceptance of the reinforcements.

For the interim solution in the form of a container school, the assessment of the foundation (additional service as a lump sum) and, if necessary, a start-up consultation should be commissioned. Should, which is currently not foreseeable, further partial services of the service profile of § 51 HOAI become necessary, these should be offered optionally.

Should it turn out within the framework of the final funding possibilities to be clarified that for economic reasons school and day care center are to be accommodated in two separate buildings, the planned new building would have to be split into two buildings if necessary. This would not mean one (replacement) new building, but two (replacement) new buildings.

In consultation with the client or the user, it was decided to outsource the entire school during the construction phase and to carry out the construction project in one construction phase. For the operation of the school during the construction period, the construction of a temporary container on an alternative plot of land will probably be necessary. For this purpose, partial planning services are necessary in addition to the object planning of buildings and interiors from the areas of HLS, electrical, outdoor system planning and structural design.

In the context of structural design, a design of the foundation should be sufficient. A complete static calculation does not seem necessary at this time. If necessary, in the case of poor ground, the use could be limited to a start-up consultation.

For the upcoming new building, including swimming pool / indoor swimming pool, there is already a feasibility study and preliminary work (work phases 1-3). The fire protection concept based on the design planning is also available. The space requirement according to the preliminary space program for the school of 26.11.2020 and approved space program for the day care center of 21.04.2022 will be met. The construction phase, including planning and tendering, should be kept as short as possible due to the current cost increases.
