The University is seeking to appoint a single supplier, to deliver its requirement for a comprehensive security manned guarding service for its campus buildings and halls of residence across the town of Bolton in line with its security strategy.

The University requires a high quality, cost effective experienced security service provider who can support the University’s strategy of providing a safe and secure environment for its students, staff and visitors. The successful supplier will work closely with the Director of Facilities prior to the contract start date to ensure a smooth transition of service from the incumbent suppliers. The process will involve the transfer of existing workers through the TUPE process and the possible recruitment of new security operatives to ensure the service meets the contractual requirements of the agreement and ensure Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met from the outset and throughout the life of the agreement. The contract is due to run from 23.8.2019. The initial contract is for 3 years with scope for extensions for a further period or periods of any duration, but in any case, the total duration of any extensions shall not exceed 24 months from the last day of the initial contract.
