Improvement Works to King Georges Hall Blackburn. King Georges Hall is a Grade II Listed Building located within the Northgate Conservation Area in the centre of Blackburn on the corner of Northgate and Blakey Moor Terrace. There are significant works to be undertaken internally and externally, the building is generally in poor condition with widespread defects and water ingress. External works will include a full replacement of the roof system. The external façade is undergoing a number of varying repair methods such as stone restoration, cleaning and structural repairs. Existing windows and doors will be replaced with new double-glazed units. Work packages such as mechanical and electrical will make up a large percentage of the total build. The Council intends to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced management contractor to undertake the management, co-ordination, and delivery of a package of works for improvements to the Hall.
Tenders are invited for the management and delivery of a number of packages of work for the Construction Stage. The tender will be issued under an ITT issued by Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council via the Chest e- Tendering Portal.
