Freiburger Verkehrs AG is planning the construction of the new Stadtbahn Waldkircher Straße, in this context the Hornusschleife with stop will be rebuilt and the tracks and catenary with masts

in Zähringer Straße.

In addition, the city of Freiburg's garden and civil engineering department is expanding the FR3 bike priority route in Friedhofstraße.

The construction work Hornusschleife / Zähringer Straße and FR 3 will take place during the new construction of the Stadtbahn Waldkircher Straße, construction phase 3.

During this period, light rail lines 2 and 4 are interrupted.

This is from 1 1.04.2022 to 09.09.2022, from 10.09.2022 the light rail line 4 will be back in operation, line 2 will remain out of service.

Before the recommissioning of line 4 in Zähringer Straße ( 10.09.2022) and at the end of the present construction project, work such as cabling, construction of the catenary system, construction of the new signalling systems, etc. will begin.

Such follow-up work shall be coordinated in such a way as to avoid mutual hindrance.
