The municipality of Helmond wants the beckoning perspective of "self-driving (public transport) transport in Helmond" to become realistic as soon as possible. By starting with a field lab on the BZOB site, Helmond wants to speed up innovation. Importantly, the field lab acts as a catalyst for innovation – a broad set of partners will also be needed to shape the innovation in partnership. The second objective is that the transport service to be purchased at the same time offers social value to a low-public transport area.
