Continuation of district management in Mönchengladbach-Rheydt
— District management should be increasingly active locally, in the district core, to support and bring together the actors on site and make a significant social contribution to urban development.
Even if district management is no longer used in the context of urban development, the goals are largely based on these guidelines. Social, economic, urban planning and ecological development in the network is sought. For this, the new funding lines (immediate program, ERDF and others) must be taken into account, but existing funding opportunities (in particular KfW funding) must also be taken into account in the work in the district. The aim is to process the integration and networking of all strategies and activities. It is important to make businessmen, owners and residents themselves actors in the development of the city and neighbourhood.
