North of England Commissioning support (NECS) is a commissioning support service hosted by NHS England and is managing this procurement process for and on behalf of NHS England Cheshire & Merseyside (The Contracting Authority) NHS England are accountable for the provision of Alternative Provider Medical Services (APMS) in the Cheshire and Merseyside area and are proposing to commission an APMS contract.

The APMS is currently provided from The Knoll Surgery Princeway Health Centre Princeway Frodsham WA6 6RX.

This APMS service is currently provided from existing premises The Knoll Surgery Princeway Health Centre, Frodsham WA6 6RX; As of the 1.7.2016 this practice had a raw patient list of 5580 and a weighted patient list of 5619 NHS England has a set price of 76.44 GBP (80.59 GBP less 4.15 GBP out of hours opt-out) for the capitation payments per weighted patient. This capitation payment is designed to cover the Essential & Additional Services element of the contract as per the NHS (General Medical

Services Contracts) Regulations. Patient list sizes will be reviewed on a quarterly basis. Each additional weighted patient above contracted levels the successful bidder will

be paid at the GMS global sum value applying at the time less out of hours opt-out e.g. currently 76.44 GBP. Each weighted patient below contracted levels an equivalent deduction will be made.

In addition to capitation payments the practice will be eligible for DES and QOF payments in line with GMS contractors.
