The city of Hamm (client) tenders the architectural services according to the service profile object planning building according to the work phases 1 - 9 according to § 34 HOAI for the construction of a new building "carrier house" throughout Europe.

The bidder has to design a building for the specific requirements of the social services offered by various agencies from the city of Hamm. The "carrier house" should be open to all people. Accessibility is therefore assumed. Particular sensitivity is required when dealing with the external waiting areas, the question of visibility is of particular importance to the customers of the food bank.

In addition, the building to be planned must take special account of the following requirements:

- Energy efficiency and sustainability

- Use of renewable energy sources

- climate-resilient construction

- resource-saving construction.

The sponsoring house is to be financed within the framework of funding from the EU, federal government and state funds as well as own contributions from the city of Hamm. The corresponding funding applications are to be submitted in September 2023.

Funding within the framework of the call "Residential quarters in transition" with funds from the state, the federal government and the ERDF NRW is sought.

The funding programme focuses on the topics of "sustainable development" and climate protection as well as adaptation to climate change. In terms of content, the funding programme also pursues, among other things, the development and processing of brownfield sites as well as the creation of public facilities for the purposes of encounter, cultural or social supply, integration of immigrants.

The draft to be developed must therefore take into account both the implementation of the specific social objective and the requirements for energy efficiency and sustainability in a special way.
