Framework contract to organise 1-week study visits mainly for officials/policymakers from trading partners. Visits should consist of seminars, presentations on EU practice in SPS areas and should be accompanied with field trips to demonstrate different aspects of the food chain. Field trips could include laboratories, institutes, agencies, food producing facilities, etc. Visits should be in relation to unjustified trade barriers in SPS areas that EU exporters have with trading partners. The language for the visit should be English, French or Spanish.

Study visits should take place in the EU.

The objectives of the current project, which is tendered by Trade DG, are:

a) to organise study visits in the field of SPS for officials/policymakers from trading partner countries;

b) to provide study visits which should consist of seminars, presentations on EU practice in SPS areas and should be accompanied with field trips to demonstrate different aspects of the food chain;

c) to organise ad hoc study visits via individual assignments defined and contracted through specific contracts;

d) to organise a total number of an estimate of 4 study visits of 1 week per year within the European Union. The period of such a visit can be shorter or longer.
