The Crick is seeking to enter into a contract agreement where the supplier is to store (across 1 or multiple sites), manage and deliver direct to nominated Francis Crick Institute sites, all agreed products, including animal bedding, animal diet, nesting and enrichment products.
This requirement is driven by the phased consolidation of multiple laboratory sites into a new dedicated facility in central London and will reflect the desire to rationalise the current supply base.
As part of this contract, the supplier is to provide from their own stocks, 3 types of animal (predominantly rodent) bedding, 1 of which will be paper/cellulose based and 2 that will be wood based.
The supplier will, where necessary, be required to purchase, manage, store and deliver third party products for use in the Crick BRF.
Specific named products are critical to the long-term efficacy and outcomes of scientific research at the Crick and therefore cannot be substituted.
Bidders should note that due to the urgency of this requirement, the time-scales for this open procedure have been shortened. Time-scales are advised within the relevant ITT documentation.
