In 2020/21, DLR took over a building complex from Daimler AG at the Ulm site on the Upper Eselsberg Sience-Park II, Wilhelm-Runge-Str. 11.
The building complex consists of various buildings, including the Technikum 6 - Laboratory Hall.
In Technical Center 6, air-conditioned laboratories (cleanroom quality) with stable temperature control are to be produced on a net area of approx. 1,000 m².
The cost of the project (KG 300+400) is estimated at € 4,490,000 net.
A start of construction in September 2023 and commissioning in October 2024 is desired.
General planning services are to be commissioned in stages, all of which relate to work phases 2-9 and include the following service profiles:
— Services of technical equipment, plant size 1-8 incl. laboratory and media technology according to §§ 53 ff. HOAI (lead),
— Services of object planning buildings and interiors according to §§ 33 ff. HOAI,
— Structural design services in accordance with §§ 49 et seq. HOAI.

The building complex consists of various buildings, including the Technikum 6 - Laboratory Hall.
The building is 30 years old. The general condition of the operational facilities is in good condition. The maintenance intervals have all been adhered to and executed by Daimler AG so far. The hall of the Technikum 6 has a floor area of approx. 1,800 m² with an axle grid of 7.2 m and a room height of approx. 7.6 m. Approximately half of the above-mentioned floor area is covered with a steel platform. Fire protection is ensured by means of conventional fire walls and a comprehensive sprinkler system with connection to a fire alarm system. The existing ventilation technology in Technikum 6 consists of 2 identical supply air units with an air capacity of 32,000 m²/h each. The room conditioning is 21 +/- 2° C. The exhaust air capacity consists of 4 separate exhaust air systems with a total volume of approx. 71,000 m³/h.
In Technical Center 6, air-conditioned laboratories with stable temperature control are to be produced on a net area of approx. 1,000 m²:
• Temperature stability 21 (20°) +/- 0.5 K (7days/24h)
• Stable room humidity 35% and 45% with fluctuation +/- 5%
• Incl. the infrastructure for laser laboratory technology (argon, nitrogen, hydrogen, - in individual cases methane, fluorine - compressed air, high current, normal current, UPS, data lines)
• Expansion of wall, ceiling in cleanroom quality with dissipative floor covering
The costs of the project (KG 300+400) are estimated at € 4,490,000 net and are divided into the following breakdown of the KG:

- KG 400 € 4,000,000
The milestones for the implementation of the project provide:
- Leistungsbeginn: Oct 2022
- Start of construction: September 2023
- Completion/commissioning: October 2024
General planning services under the leadership of the specialist planner technical equipment are to be commissioned in stages, all of which relate to work phases 2-9 and include the following service profiles:
— Services of technical equipment, plant groups 1-8 incl. laboratory and media technology according to §§ 53 ff. HOAI
— Building and interior planning services in accordance with §§ 33 ff. HOAI
— Structural design services according to §§ 49 ff. HOAI
It is intended to commission the aforementioned services in stages with this invitation to tender.
Initially, in commissioning level 1a, the work phases 2 and 3 (preliminary planning and design planning) are commissioned in accordance with HOAI. The work phases 4 to 9 will be carried out in the further commissioning stages
retrieved. There is no legal entitlement to an overall order. Further information on the planned measure can be found in a rough development concept as well as the other information documents, which are attached to the tender documents as "Procurement document G - Plan and information documents".
