The Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) is an executive agency of the Department of the Environment. Within the Environmental Protection Directorate the Water Management Unit wished to establish contracts for the supply, delivery, installation, warranty and training of -

Lot 1 – Supply, Delivery, Installation, Warranty and Training of One Gas Chromatographic Mass Spectrometer, (GCMS), Single Quadrupole System

Lot 2 – Supply, Delivery, Installation, Warranty and Training of One Gas Chromatographic Mass Spectrometer, (GCMS), Ion Trap System

The systems shall be used to perform analysis of WFD Annex 8/10 substances in environmental matrices down to extremely low limits of quantitation, sub ng/l in a number of cases.

The Contract shall provide for the purchase of each system inclusive of one year warranty and initial operator training. Following year 1 there shall be options to extend the contract on an annual basis for up to 7 years to cover extended warranty and maintenance.

Tenderers were able to bid for 1 or more Lots.

Important: Sample Test – Performance Evaluation

Prior to the tender closing date Tenderers were required to request samples for testing on their proposed system. Tenderers were required to carry out the testing of samples in advance of the tender closing date. The testing of samples was in accordance with the instructions contained in tender documents. A copy of all results were required to be submitted with the tender submission by the tender closing date.
