VE5272 Bridge over rivers (AFG) Waltendorf

The structure is being erected to ensure the accessibility of the newly emerging island south of the village of Waltendorf between the Danube and the Waltendorf watercourse and crosses the floodplain. The production of the watercourse will take place on an ongoing basis, starting from 03/2024. The dike relocation in Waltendorf will take place before the start of the bridge construction work. Thus, the bridge construction site is not located in the flood-protected area. The structure is built in a sloped excavation pit. A small dam will be poured around as flood protection and a narrow wall will be sunk with integration into the Tertiary.
