This is intended to renew the core components of the LAN network infrastructure (LAN), the primary storage systems and the servers of the virtualization platform. In addition to the renewal of the hardware components, the focus of the entire renewal is on the parallel structure of the system environment and the Microsoft Active Directory. Component delivery, installation, configuration and maintenance of the systems should take place from a single source. Only complete systems from leading manufacturers are to be offered, ie appliances with their own operating system, consisting of hardware and software. A 60-month service contract is also to be concluded.

The tendering process takes place in a negotiated procedure with a participation competition because the client's needs cannot be met without adapting already available solutions [VgV § 14 (3) 1].
